We are urban beekeepers and our beehives are situated all around Christchurch. We've got hives in Papanui, Richmond, Huntsbury hill, Worsley and Kennedy's bush, just to mention a few places. If you live nearby, chances are our bees have visited the flowers in your gardens as they can fly up to a few kilometres from the hive to gather nectar. Thus, the honey that our bees make will be from a variety of different sources, and the flavour reflects what grows in and around the gardens of Christchurch.

Gold Fern Honey
Simon Phillips and Isabelle Davour started beekeeping in 2014 with four hives. They have grown their bee numbers and now have 350 hives spread out around Christchurch, from Huntsbury Hill to Marshlands Road to Kennedy's Bush and everywhere in between.The honey is multifloral as it is mainly collected in urban areas and the bees have gathered nectar from a variety of flowers in Christchurch gardens as well as from clover in parks and from trees such as cabbage trees and gum trees.
All hives are free of any chemicals and the honey is raw and unheated.
