This unbleached sugar is turbinated - a refining process that retains nutrients destroyed by other methods. Grown with care by small-scale farmers from the Manduvira co-operative in Paraguay without the use of synthetic chemicals, its better for the environment, the farmers and you. Free from bone char, this sugar is also sweet as for vegans.
Manduvira (Cooperativa Manduvira Ltd.) is a farmer-owned co-operative in southern Paraguay. The co-operative consists of 1500 members, including many small-scale sugar producers who were historically vulnerable to the impact of erratic and low prices. Manduvira provides higher and more consistent pricing to its members, along with many other benefits.
