Made by WabiO from a organic traditional Japanese green tea - Genmaicha.
Taste: Light, slightly toasted and utterly drinkable.
Kombucha (which has been dubbed the 'elixir of life') is a living drink and a miniature bio-chemical factory producing important probiotics, organic acids, nutrients & vitamins. Using organic and fair trade ingredients and WabiO's well-honed fermentation skills, it is their mission to make WabiO taste like the best soda you have ever had. This drink gets its name from a gruesome tale of a Japanese servant losing his head to the sword of his Samurai lord for accidentally spoiling his master's tea with a few kernels of roasted rice. We're using the rice, but opted for skipping the blood.

Wabi O (’Wah-Bee-Oh): Abbrevation for Wabi Originals, a liquid transformation venture. Wabi Originals was born out of a chance meeting between a real-food pioneer and a tea expert here in Christchurch in 2010. Warren’s vast experiencewith brewing kombucha coalesced with Jo’s in-depth knowledge of tea, resulting in a combined 40 years of brewing sophistication. The duo went on to create a drink that’s another step forward in kombucha’s long history.
