Fair Trade Organic Cashew Nuts

These cashews are organically grown and harvested in Southern India by small-scale farmers working to improve the lives of their families and communities. They are imported by Trade Aid from Fair Trade Alliance Kerala, which is an organisation of small holder farmers drawn from the hill regions of the western Ghats of Kerala. The organisation evolved as a response to the agrarian crisis of poverty and indebtedness that gripped Kerala during the beginning of the 21st century, when producers were not even getting the cost of production for much of their produce.
Packaged in a paper bag with a recycled paper label which can be reused, home composted or put in council green bin.
The Wholefood Kitchen products are all gluten free, as they only source their ingredients from trusted suppliers, and create and pack their products in their little commercial kitchen which is completely free from any gluten.

The Wholefood Kitchen
The Wholefood Kitchen is a new local business selling delicious nutritious whole food products, which are sourced as ethically, sustainably and locally as possible and are all gluten-free. Mary is a complete foodie and decided to start the company in response to her frustration at trying to source reasonably priced nutritious whole food ingredients and products which she could be certain were gluten-free after being diagnosed with coeliac disease. She is also passionate about people and the environment, and helped set up the Ooooby Christchurch Hub in 2016 and still packs boxes with the Ooooby crew each week. The kitchen where all products are made and packed is a totally gluten-free environment.Transfer to an airtight container and store in a cool dry place.
