$11.90

250 grams

3 left

Wai-Ora Mulifloral Manuka Honey contains a unique flavour from the nectar of manuka, blackberry, clover and borage flowers - just as the bees made it from the hills of North Canterbury. Harvested summer 2019.

NPA  5 plus,  MGO  83 plus mg/kg.

Manuka honey is made using nectar from the manuka tree, a native tree of New Zealand. The Maori people used the manuka flower as a medicinal plant to treat various illnesses such as fevers and colds. Today manuka honey is used worldwide as an highly effective antibacterial substance. It has been proven to help ailments of the skin, mouth, and throat, and is used by many people to treat infections and wounds all over the body.

If you leave your rinsed honey glass jar including lid out on packing day, our driver will collect it and we'll credit 50c to your account in the following week. Please note that this only applies to the 250g and 500g glass jars, not the 1kg plastic jars.

Wai-Ora Apiaries

Wai-Ora means liquid health, life-giving. With 3 generations of Thompsons, they are now into their 4th decade of producing minimally processed honey, based on ancient Maori principals: A belief that everything that we say, think and do should be done with future generations in mind. Wai-Ora honey is harvested chemical-free and no sugar feeding to the bees, with little interference during the creation process working with nature's genius in order to provide a totally raw organic product. Nestled in the foothills of North Canterbury Inland road, Wai-Ora is in the heart of the South Island Manuka country, where the family farm works sustainably towards a harmonious connection between farmer, bee and all forms of life. Third generation beekeeper Priscilla likes to say "no bee left behind" and in doing so demonstrates the ongoing integrity and respect for other life forms that is at the heart of the Thompson family's commitment to their craft.

Make sure to store honey in a cool place, but not in the refrigerator. It should also be kept out of direct sunlight.
