This dark chocolate journey starts in the Amazonian rainforest in Peru and Ecuador. The beans are carefully nurtured by small-scale farming cooperatives in perfect organic growing conditions to produce a vibrant tasting crop, a quality you will taste in the richness of flavour in all our chocolate. Bennetto then collaborate with their partners in Switzerland who guarantee every bar is entirely organic, free from soy, dairy, processing aids, preservatives or additives.
In addition to cocoa, these farmers also plant timber trees to increase the cocoa farmers’ long-term income. At the same time this planting will offset all carbon emissions produced during the chocolate manufacturing process. To be precise, 1 new tree is planted for every 1000 bars produced.
