From our friends at Wild Wheat, a warm earthy bread made from roasted kumara in a light wholemeal based sourdough. Vegan.

Grilled with olive oil, some slices of ripe tomato. Also makes fantastic garlic bread and a good accompaniment to soups. This bread is almost a dish on its own as it has heaps of flavour. It truly lends itself to simple ingredients but has also been known to make a mean Bread & Butter Pudding.

Specialising in making sourdoughs based on long, slow fermentation made from an apple-based sourdough starter which is over 20 years old. These breads have a unique flavour and texture and with no additives nor preservatives, they have great health benefits too.

Breads based on very simple ingredients: flour, water and salt. But with simple procedures there is nowhere to hide if you get it wrong; no way to take shortcuts. Wild Wheat sourdough loaves take over 48 hours to create from start to finish. This process will never be compromised; nor will their strict rule: no additives or preservatives. Naturally produced bread, naturally good for you.

Please note that we do our very best to deliver the freshest bread we can to your door. For Thursday deliveries, the bread is received freshly baked from the bakeries on Wednesday morning. For Friday deliveries, we receive fresh bread on Thursday morning.
