Elderberry Syrup

$39.99 $24.99

100 ml

Natural immune support for children, made with local elderberries.
This amazing syrup boosts the immune system and relieves the symptoms of viral conditions.

Rich in vitamin C, immune-enhancing and anti-viral, elderberries have been used as a winter remedy for centuries. This syrup is enhanced with ginger and cinnamon. Ginger is warming and soothing for coughs, colds and flu, and cinnamon is a traditional remedy for nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea. Aching muscles and other symptoms of viral conditions will be relieved.
This formula is a great tasting remedy for children.

A lot of care goes into creating this amazing syrup. The elderberries are harvested by hand, selecting the ripest and darkest berries. Then the berries are juiced and pressed on the same day with a steam juicer and fruit press. The dark liquid gets cooked down with the addition of ginger and cinnamon. Honey is added just before bottling to give a superb tasting syrup. The kids love it and it helps them immensely to stay healthy in autumn and throughout the winter period. A cold is shaken off fast and the taste is so good that they like to take it.

Ingredients: Elderberries*, ginger, cinnamon*, honey, water. *organic

All elderberries are grown and harvested on the Banks Peninsula.

KoruKai Herb Farm

KoruKai Herb Farm was established in 2013 after Cornelia Holten did an apprenticeship in Herbal Medicine. With a Certificate in Organic Horticulture, she was well equipped to grow high-quality herbs.
All herbs are handpicked and carefully dried in a drying shed with solar-powered ventilators. The dried herbs are vibrant, green and look like freshly picked. They create flavourful teas and remedies that are highly potent and delicious.
KoruKai are passionate about permaculture and organics and strive to be self-sufficient on their block in Pigeon Bay.
Their daily work starts in the garden, making compost, organic seaweed and fish fertiliser, sowing seeds, planting and harvesting. They share their passion for gardening and nutrition with others through workshops held at KoruKai Herb Farm.
