This Kanuka is raw, zingy, aromatic and fresh tasting. It has been cold processed to a fine, silky texture. Kanuka has many medicinal benefits. Lab results show us that this honey is a 5.5 NPA (97MGO).
Harvested from the eastern end of the Mahurangi West peninsular, so it has a touch of pohutukawa, lightening its amber green colour.
It is currently not certified organic, but it probably would be if they went through all the expense and hassle to get certified. This honey is about as ideal as it can be in terms of beekeeping methods; natural materials used, the bees are left enough honey for winter, nowhere close to other agriculture, etc.
