Bread & Butter are experts in traditional European baking. They specialise in long, slow fermentation sourdoughs, specialty breads, and traditional pastries and treats. Their flours, seeds and other bread ingredients are either certified organic or certified sustainable, meaning they are grown using regenerative agricultural principles. They do not use any artificial ingredients, emulsifiers, preservatives, baking enzymes, artificial flavours, colours, dough conditioners or other ‘technical’ ingredients in their products.
Please note that we do our very best to deliver the freshest bread we can to your door. For Thursday deliveries, the bread is received freshly baked from the bakeries on Wednesday morning.
Bread & Butter
Bread & Butter specialise in traditional European and naturally leavened sourdough breads. All breads are made from certified organic ingredients.
Their breads are baked directly on stone tiles, giving them a robust and tasty crust that seals in flavour and keeps them fresher for longer. Their bread is as good as bread can be, because they love bread.
Their cakes and pastries, savouries and pies are made according to traditional recipes that place utmost importance on taste and original style. No premixes and ready-to-use fillings are used in any of their products.
In the pastry ranges they aim to use local, spray-free, and organic produce where feasible and according to seasonal availability.
Best eaten as fresh as possible. If not consumed within a day or two, best kept in a breathable cotton bag. Can be frozen.
To keep your produce, meat, and milk as fresh as possible, we use chilled courier services. Therefore, your baked goods may dry out a little during transit. Simply sprinkle the loaf with a little water and warm in the oven to freshen them back up!
